Appointments to exchange your driver’s licence from another province or country are available at the following sites. To receive guaranteed service, you must schedule a licence exchange appointment at these locations.

Our Elliot Lake travel point has a new commercial offsite testing location!
Effective December 23, 2024, the Elliot Lake travel point will conduct all commercial class road tests (A, B, C, D, E, F and Z) at our new offsite testing location in the parking lot of the Masonic Heritage Hall, located at 171 Spruce Ave, Elliot Lake, ON P5A 2K6.
Did you know?
Effective November 1, 2024, individuals seeking to obtain their Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) certificate as new truck and bus operators through the New Entrant Education and Evaluation Program (NEEEP) are required to participate in digital module training. This replaces the current NEEEP study guide and in-person test. Ministry of Transportation-issued CVOR application letters dated November 1, 2024, or later will include details about this updated requirement. Please adhere to the instructions provided in those letters.
CVOR applicants who receive letters from the ministry prior to November 1, 2024, will be advised to visit a DriveTest Centre to complete the CVOR/Tow Truck/Bus knowledge test within six months of the date of issue. Please follow the instructions provided in those letters.

Starting May 31, 2024, DriveTest is offering scheduled appointments for all services at the Collingwood and Elliot Lake Travel Points from July 2, 2024, onwards. Between May 31 and July 2, services will continue to be offered on a walk-in basis.
PLEASE NOTE, effective July 2, 2024, all services at the Collingwood Travel Point location will be available by appointment only.
We are offering scheduled appointments for out-of-province licence exchanges and foreign licence applications at 15 locations. Service may be available on standby but wait times may be extended. We strongly encourage you to book an appointment.

On the contact us page please complete the registration form in the ‘Email Comments and Questions section of the page. All fields must be completed prior to submitting the form. In the ‘DriveTest Centre Location’ field, select the DriveTest Centre you or the driving school with which you are affiliated, visit most frequently. In the ‘Comment Topic’ field, please select ‘Subscribe to notifications and announcements email list’. In the ‘Your Comments’ field, please enter the name of the driving school with which you are affiliated, if not applicable enter N/A.
Subscribers may not limit the type of notifications they receive on the basis of geography or topics of discussion. All types of notifications published by DriveTest will be distributed to all users who subscribe to this service.
DriveTest will not use email addresses provided by subscribers for purposes other than to disseminate important information regarding driver examination services to registered participants. DriveTest will not share email addresses provided by subscribers to third parties for alternative uses.

Important Notice Regarding a Change to the Road Test Booking System
DriveTest introduced a change to ensure that the booking system provides fair access to all who need to take a road test. Prior to canceling any road test, you should ensure that you are unable to attend your road appointment, as all cancellations are final. When you cancel the road test you will have to book a new date and/or time for your road test.
